The surf scene in Bocas is a mix of local and international surfers, creating a diverse and welcoming community. The primary mode of transportation between surf breaks is by boat, adding a unique island-hopping element to the surf experience.

Types of Waves

Bocas del Toro offers a wide variety of waves, from gentle beginner slopes to powerful, barreling reef breaks. The main surf spots are concentrated around three islands: Isla Colón, Isla Carenero, and Isla Bastimentos.
